'A limp' - Wolves star admits he's struggling with injury ahead of Brighton clash
Wolves vs Brighton in the Premier League from Molineux Stadium - Sunday, 2pm
Wolves are hoping their star man Jorgen Strand Larsen will be fit to face Brighton this Sunday.
The Norway international has made four Premier League appearances this term but is yet to hit that target for Vítor Pereira's struggling team.
Strand Larsen, who netted 14 goals in the top flight last term, was the subject of much transfer speculation over the summer.
Eddie Howe’s Newcastle pushed to sign the 25-year-old but a move never materialised for the former Celta de Vigo man.
The striker, who joined Wolves for £23m, is yet to hit top form this term and admitted he's struggling with his fitness after the 1-1 draw at Tottenham last weekend.
“I haven’t quite got going yet, and I’m struggling today too, unfortunately," he said.
"I feel like I’m walking with a bit of a limp, and it’s boring.”
A turbulent summer for Strand Larsen
Strand Larsen recently signed a new contract at Wolves that runs until 2030 but admitted the Newcastle saga made for a "turbulent" summer.
"It was a Champions League club [Newcastle] that was being talked about. But it will happen again and it will continue.
“The important thing is that the club showed confidence in me afterwards and we solved that in a good way [with the new contract].
“It has been turbulent this summer. Personally, I think it was great to be done with it."
Brighton are 10th in the table after last Saturday’s win at Chelsea and aset to provide a stiff test for Wolves.
Fabian Hurzeler’s team have no fresh injury concerns but will be without long-term absentees Jack Hinshelwood (ankle), Solly March (knee) and Adam Webster (knee).
