From experienced professionals to younger players looking to make their mark, the loan system is a key part of Albion' s transfer strategy and player development.
Recent signings such as Abdallah Sima and Kaoru Mitoma arrived in the summer and immediately went back out on loan, while the likes of young internationals Andi Zeqiri, Moises Caicedo and Michal Karbownik are also taking the next steps on their careers.
Academy graduates such as Alex Cochrane and Teddy Jenks are up in the Scottish Premiership. Jensen Weir is in League One with Cambridge United and Ryan Longman in the Championship at Hull.
It's certainly enough to keep Albion's loans manager David Weir gainfully employed.

5. Leo Ostigard
The defender has started 10 of 17 league games for Stoke and made 13 appearances in total. He scored his first goal against Swansea in August but also picked up his fifth booking of the season last time out against Luton.

6. Andi Zeqiri
The striker scored for Albion against Cardiff in the Carabao and then sealed a loan to Augsburg of the Bundesliga. He has two goals from eight appearances in the league and remains a player Graham Potter rates very highly. Will hope to add to his three Swiss caps when they take on Italy and then Bulgaria.

7. Jan Paul van Hecke
On loan with Blackburn for the season was sent off for a high foot against Fulham - and his team ended up losing the game 7-0. Has made five outings for the Championship team and has three bookings and a red to his name

8. Kaoru Mitoma
The Japanese attacker joined in the summer for £3.5m and was loaned to Union St-Gilloise. Scored a sublime second half hat-trick as USG fought back from 2-0 down against Seraing to top of the league in Belgium. Called up for the Japan national team and looks a promising talent.
