All the latest transfer deadline day deals for Brighton and Hove Albion
Defenders Igor Julio and Erian Cashin both sealed moves away from Brighton on transfer deadline day.
Igor completed a permanent transfer to Burnley, for a reported fee of £3m and Cashin has joined his old old Derby County on a season loan.
Igor joined for £15m in 2023
Igor joined Albion from Fiorentina in 2023 for around £15m, and made 50 appearances in all competitions, including six in their Europa League campaign in 2023/24.
Sporting director Mike Cave said, “Igor has been a good professional throughout his time here. He played regularly during our first season in European competition. On behalf of all at the club, I would like to thank him for his service and wish him well for the future.”
The 28-year-old played a key role in helping previous club Fiorentina reach the final of the Europa Conference League and came on as a substitute when they lost 2-1 to West Ham United in the final. Fiorentina were also runners-up in the Coppa Italia during that season.
Following his move to Turf Moor, Igor said: "I'm very happy to be here. Burnley is a great club, with lots of history and I'm pleased to be a part of it.
"Once I heard of the interest and spoke to the manager, I wanted to get the move done and I'm ready for this next chapter now in my career."
Igor started his career with Santos-based Portuguesa in Brazil before moving to Austria in 2016 where he played for FC Liefering.
He had spells in the Austrian top-flight with Red Bull Salzburg and on loan at Wolfsberger and Austria Vienna. Last season Igor was on loan at West Ham.
Cashin out
Cashin returned to Derby County on a season-long loan.
The defender joined Albion from the Rams in January 2025 for £8m, before spending last season on loan with Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers.
Cave added, “Eiran had a very good spell with Blackburn Rovers last season, he has also had a strong pre-season and we want to see him carry that form into this loan with Derby County.
“Eiran is going to a club he knows well, that will help him settle quickly and we look forward to seeing him progress over the coming season.”
The former Ireland under-21 defender has made two Premier League appearances for Albion. He returns to Pride Park, where he previously made 144 appearances after coming through the Rams’ academy.
