One deal Graham Potter and co do hope to complete today is Moises Caicedo from Independiente del Valle but asides from that, not a lot is expected to happen.
Glenn Murray is close to reuniting with Chris Hughton at Nottingham Forest – understood to be a permanent deal, rather than a loan.
The 37-year-old will depart as a Brighton legend with 111 goals in 285 appearances – 23 of which came in the club's promotion seasons in 2016/17.
In terms of new faces through the door, Potter will wait until the summer and one man who could be on his radar is goalkeeper Nathan Baxter.
According to The Sun’s transfer guru Alan Nixon, Albion are keeping tabs on Baxter during his loan spell in League One with Accrington Stanley.
The 22-year-old is on the books at Chelsea but is being considered by Brighton as a summer option.
Baxter has come through the youth ranks at the West London club, experiencing loan spells at Metropolitan Police, Solihull Moors, Woking, Yeovil Town, Ross County and now Accrington.
He is yet to make his senior debut for the Blues. The fact he hasn’t come close to that either may indicate his future lies away from Stamford Bridge.
