Brighton are just two points above the drop zone with 14 points from 17 matches so far this season.
They have played some decent football this campaign but converting encouraging displays into results has been a huge source of frustration.
High on the wish list of many Albion fans this January is a new striker to provide that all-important edge and a left back.
Brighton have been short at left back for a while now and fans have identified two Championship stars who they think fit the bill.

5. Todd Cantwell
The talented Norwich player maker would be a welcome addition to many Premier League squads. Surprised he didn't get his move away from Norwich last season and a player often discussed by Brighton fans on social media. He would come with a hefty price tag which could ultimately put Brighton off any move. Also linked with Everton and Leicester
6. Rico Henry
Calls for a new left back at Brighton reached fever pitch after Albion's 3-3 draw against Wolves. Dan Burn has filled in admirably while Bernardo remains largely out of favour. Brentford's Rico Henry was linked with Albion last summer and is rarely far from the conversation.
7. Jessie Lingard
Previously had a spell on loan with Albion before his career took off at Man United. Out of favour at Old Trafford and certain to move on. Many Albion fans feel the attacking midfielder could add some quality and experience to Graham Potter's squad
8. Omar Richards
Another talented left back performing well in the Championship.The 22-year-old looks ready for the next level and has even been linked with a move to German giants Bayern Munich. Brighton are said to be among a clutch of clubs monitoring his progress and he's one that Albion fans certainly seem very keen on.
