The 2020/21 summer transfer window is starting to liven up, with a number of Premier League sides investing in some quality signings, with little time left to go until the opportunity to sign new players is suspended until the new year.

Here's a look at the latest transfer headlines from the top tier, including news from Brighton and their divisional rivals:

Foxes snap up Fofana

Leicester City made their third signing of the summer transfer window earlier today, with defender Wesley Fofana arriving from Ligue 1 side AS Saint Etienne for a fee of around £30m.

The towering French teenager signed a five-year-deal with the Foxes, after West Ham were unsuccessful in securing his services.

Bayern Munich favourites to sign Lamptey

Following reports that Bayern Munich are keen on signing Brighton sensation Tariq Lamptey, SkyBet have installed the Bavarian giants as the 5/1 favourites to sign him.

The England U21 ace only joined the Seagulls from Chelsea last January, after spending close to a decade in the Blues' youth academy.

Leeds ready James swoop

Leeds United have been tipped to pursue a move for long term target Daniel James, who Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been tipped to sell in an attempt to land Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho.

The Whites are understood to have had a loan bid for the ex-Swansea City man turned down earlier in the transfer window.

Burnley's move for Wilson could be off

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has, according to Sky Sports, decided he would rather "stick with his current squad" than sign Liverpool's Harry Wilson.

The Clarets have struggled to agree terms with the Reds for the ex-Bournemouth loanee, and may turn their attentions elsewhere before the transfer window closes.

Newcastle target heading elsewhere

Newcastle United's hopes of signing Italy ace Daniele Rugani look to be over, with the Juventus man set to join French side Rennes – who are set to take part in the group stages of this year’s Champions League - on loan instead.

The 26-year-old made just ten league appearances for his club last season, and is eager to move elsewhere for the time being to play more regular first-team football.
