However, their wait for a goal at Stamford Bridge goes on after Danny Welbeck hit the post late on with an excellent curling effort, whilst substitute Adam Lallana missed a golden one-on-one chance.

Was thrown into the action on the hour mark to change the tempo of the game. Missed his side's best chance of the night to score their first ever goal at Stamford Bridge. Lacked composure at the crucial moment to finish past Kepa when one-on-one. Kept his second chance on target minutes later after a fine turn but the goalkeeper made the save.
