Brighton will hope to add to their squad this summer as they look to build on their record breaking season in the top flight.
Graham Potter guided his team to ninth in the league with a record haul of 51 points from 38 matches.
The significant challenge now is to build on that impressive campaign which will likely require some shrewd moves in this window and – perhaps more importantly – keeping hold of their best players.
Brighton’s strategy of late has been to snap up some of the finest young talent across the globe and use their loan system and coaching to develop them before introducing them to the first team.
It has worked of late with Alexis Mac Allister, Moises Caicedo and Jakub Moder all playing their part last season.
So far, Brighton have also sold at the right time with Ben White signing for Arsenal last summer for £50m and Dan Burn Burn joining Newcastle for £13m in the previous window.
It has delivered a healthy income and despite the loss of two key players, Potter has still managed to improve their position in the table.
The transfer window opens today and will close at 11pm on Thursday, September 1.
Albion will perhaps look to add some additional fire power to the squad and may also hope to bolster their defensive ranks.
Here’s the current state of play ahead of a vital transfer window for Albion.

9. Eddie Nketiah
The out-of-contract Arsenal striker would be a cracking signing for Brighton but any deal would blow Albion's wage structure out of the water. Brighton should have a fit Danny Welbeck to start the season plus, Neal Maupay and Deniz Undav arrives this summer after his prolific loan at Union SG. Jeremy Sarmiento is also set to step-up this season and Albion could also be joined by Paraguayan wonder-kid Julio Enciso. A deal for Eddie Nketiah does not look likely. Photo: Stuart MacFarlane

10. Aaron Connolly
Had a patchy loan spell at Middlesbrough and very difficult to see him breaking into Potter's first team next term. The Ireland striker would have to have a seriously impressive preseason but another loan or perhaps a permanent exit could be the most likely outcome Photo: GLYN KIRK

11. Matt Clarke
The former Pompey man is yet to feature for Albion and has been on loan at Derby and West Brom since his arrival. Another loan is likely but Clarke could also favour a permanent move if the right offer arrives. Photo: Tony Marshall

12. Jan Paul van Hecke
Had an excellent loan at Blackburn last season and will be interesting to see if he breaks into the first team. Another loan could also be an option. Photo: Lewis Storey
