Experienced striker Callum Wilson was a notable absentee from West Ham's starting XI at Brighton.

The former Newcastle attacker started the previous Premier League clash as the Hammers battled to a creditable 1-1 draw at Manchester United last time out.

But this time head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has shuffled his pack to take on seventh placed Brighton at a wet and windy Amex Stadium.

Lucas Paqueta served a one-match suspension at Old Trafford, following his needless red card against Liverpool.

Prior to the match, Nuno said Paqueta would return straight to the XI and the Portuguese has been true to his word.

The playmaker is set to return in his attacking midfield role, with Jarrod Bowen the most likely to lead the line. That means Wilson - who has fours goals from 11 appearances so far this term - drops to the bench.

Danny Welbeck back for Brighton

Meanwhile, Brighton have recalled their experienced front runner Danny Welbeck to the starting XI after he was on the bench for the midweek 4-3 loss to Aston Villa.

Welbeck, 35, has eight goals to his name this term and is all the more important to head coach Fabian Hurzeler after the long-term knee injury to £22m striker Stefanos Tzimas, sustained against Villa.

Georginio also returns for Brighton after he missed the defeat to Villa with a head injury sustained in the 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest.

German under-21 Brajan Gruda is back on the bench for Brighton, as is midfield Jack Hinshelwood, who scored the second Brighton goal in the loss to Villa. Wingers Kaoru Mitoma and Tommy Watson remains sidelined with injury, along with veteran midfielder James Milner. Solly March and Adam Webster are the long term absentees.
