A remarkable 3-0 win for Sam Allardyce's West Brom and Newcastle's victory at Burnley has shifted the odds in the battle to avoid the drop from the Premier League

West Brom' s triumph against a Southampton team in serious decline followed their victory against Chelsea and hands them a slim chance of maintaining their top flight survival.

Newcastle also edged towards safety thanks to an Allan Saint-Maximin inspired victory at fellow strugglers Burnley and Brighton's draw against Everton last night pulled Graham Potter's men seven points clear.

Scott Parker's Fulham are in serious trouble after they suffered a late loss against Wolves.
