Some elder statesmen of the squad were allowed to depart, while the work of the club's scouting department came to fruition as they also invested in some of Europe's finest young talent.
Keeping Ben White away from the Leeds United and a shrewd free transfer from Liverpool were also highlights of the window for Albion. Scroll down and click through to see their transfer activity.

21. Leo Ostigard
The highly regarded Norwegian under-21 had a successful loan spell in the second tier of German football with FC St. Pauli. He is now on loan with Championship outfit Coventry as he continues his development. A good move for the defender.

22. Aaron Mooy
Perhaps the one big surprise of the transfer window was his switch to Shanghai SIPG. He had a good first season with Albion but Graham Potter has options in central midfield and a good move for all concerned.

23. Glenn Murray
Did so much for Brighton over the years and it was tough for fans to see the 37-year-old depart on loan to Watford. Game would have been limited for Albion and his know-how will be a huge help for Watford as they attempt to bounce back to the PL

24. Shane Duffy
Another big name departure for Albion as he sealed a dream move to the club he supported as boy, Celtic. Tough to see him go out on loan but everyone seems to benefit from this piece of business
