Fabian Hurzeler reacts to Brighton's brilliant Premier League statistic after Chelsea triumph
All the reaction from Brighton’s 3-0 victory against Chelsea from the Amex Stadium
Brighton achieved a remarkable goalscoring feat in their 3-0 thrashing of Chelsea on Tuesday night at the AMEX Stadium.
Goals from Ferdi Kadioglu, Jack Hinshelwood and Danny Welbeck earned the Seagulls a well-deserved win that lifted them above the Blues into sixth.
Kadioglu bagged his first goal of the season and in the process became Albion’s 18th different scorer of the campaign – the joint-most of any Premier League side with league leaders Arsenal.

On that intriguing stat, head coach Fabian Hurzeler told Sussex World: “We want to have players who have the freedom to attack, who create a dynamic from behind by making deep runs, by joining the opponent’s box, and that’s what we always want to do.
“Therefore, [we] have the freedom to attack if the other players can organise the rest [of the] defence.
“Today, I think the goal from Ferdi was more of a set-piece, but what we always know is that he has a good finish.”
He added: “Therefore, that makes us a very unpredictable team because you have so many goalscorers, and it’s quite important to have this flexibility.
“That everyone has this desire to score, that everyone wants to score and attack the opponent’s box - that’s very crucial for our game.”
This season’s top-scorer Welbeck notched his 13th in the league in stoppage-time on Tuesday while Hinshelwood scored only his second of the campaign.
European hopes boosted
The victory over ex-Albion defender Liam Rosenior’s side considerably enhanced the host’s European qualification chances with four games left to play.
On the prospect of European football next season, Hurzeler said: “I'm really not focusing on the table.
"I'm proud of the performance, I'm proud of how they stick together. Two or three days after a tough game in Tottenham, they went again on the pitch and played intense football.
“Now we have to keep focusing on performances, keep trying to improve, and then we'll see what happens.”
The Seagulls have over a week until their next assignment – a trip to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle United on May 1.
