The Worthing-born midfielder has been named alongside some of the world’s best youngsters in this year’s GOAL NXGN top 50.
The annual NXGN list highlights the 50 most incredible prospects to have been born after January 1, 2005.
Hinshelwood has made quite the impact this season. The versatile teenager has scored three goals in 12 Premier League appearances – including a superb effort in Albion’s 4-1 demolition of fierce rivals Crystal Palace at the Amex in February – but faces a stint on the sidelines after suffering a stress fracture in his foot.
But who else has made this list of the game’s brightest stars of the future?
The top 50 includes talents from across European football’s biggest clubs – including FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
You can view the top 50 in full in the gallery below.

41. Antonio Nusa - Club Brugge
Antonio Nusa has caught the eye of several English clubs after excelling at Belgian outfit Club Brugge. On September 13, 2022, the Norwegian scored a goal in his UEFA Champions League debut in a 4–0 away win against FC Porto, becoming the youngest player to score on his debut in the competition. In the January 2024 transfer window, the winger was linked with moves to Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford, but after failing a medical with the latter a move to the Bees now seems unlikely. In August 2023, Nusa received his first call-up to the Norway senior national team for a friendly against Jordan and a UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying match against Georgia. 42. Leny Yoro - Lille
It seems a host of top European clubs are lined up to prize Leny Yoro away from Lille. Real Madrid, PSG, Manchester United and Liverpool are all reportedly interested in Yoro, who has been likened to compatriots Raphaël Varane and William Saliba. The France under-21 international made his professional debut with Lille in a 3-1 Ligue 1 win over Nice on May 14, 2022. 43. Claudio Echeverri - Manchester City (on loan at River Plate)
Claudio Echeverri has been tipped to have a bright future in football. On January 25, Echeverri agreed to join Manchester City on a four-and-a-half year contract, remaining on loan at Argentinian giants River Plate until January 2025. Echeverri has represented Argentina at both under-17 and under-23 levels. On November 24, 2023, in the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, he scored a hat-trick in a 3-0 victory over rivals Brazil. 44. Kenan Yıldız - Juventus
Kenan Yıldız has exploded onto the scene at Juventus. Since making his Serie A debut in a 3-0 win at Udinese in August 2023, the Turkish midfielder has been an ever-present in Massimiliano Allegri's line-up. On his first start for Juve against Frosinone in December, Yıldız picked up the ball on the edge of the area, dribbled through two players, and calmly struck the ball to the near post finding the back of the net. This made him the club's youngest foreign goalscorer in Serie A at the age of 18 years and 233 days. In October 2023, he received his first call-up to the Turkey senior national team for two UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Croatia and Latvia. On October 12, Yıldız made his full international debut as second half substitute in a 1-0 win over Croatia. The teenager scored his first international goal on November 28, 2023 in a 3-2 victory over Germany, his country of birth. Photo: Valerio Pennicino/Getty Images
