“Women's Football Weekend is a brilliant showcase for the game," said Powell.

“Last year it coincided with our game against Birmingham at the Amex when we won 3-0 and had 4000 people there which was a fantastic experience for the players.

“It's a real shame that we won't have fans in the ground this weekend, but I hope our supporters will tune in on Sunday and get behind the team as much as they would if they were in the stadium.

“We've had some close games with West Ham over the years and I expect Sunday to be similar but we're really looking forward to it.”
