The new United boss has been busy in this summer’s transfer window – spending £72 million on 3 new additions to the squad.
Tyrell Malacia became United’s first signing of the Ten Hag era earlier this month as he arrived from Feyenoord for £15 million.
Christian Eriksen has also signed on a free transfer and Lisandro Martinez was bought from Ajax for £48 million earlier this week.
The Red Devils have enjoyed a successful pre season so far – winning three games and drawing one – scoring 13 goals along the way.
Ten Hag’s first 11 for their curtain raiser against Brighton is much anticipated and the Dutchmen will know that Graham Potter’s side will be no pushovers.
That said, here is how SussexWorld expect United to line up against the Albion next weekend….

5. Harry Maguire
The England international has appears to have cemented his place in the side after a strong pre-season – and Ten Hag has confirmed that the 29-year-old will be the club captain for the foreseeable future – further strengthening his position in the side. Ten Hag recently praised Fred for being the ‘connector‘ in the team, and said that the Brazilian can get even better. Following the failed pursuit of Frenkie de Jong – it seems quite clear that the Brazil international will line up in the number six role. (Photo by Paul Kane/Getty Images) Photo: Paul Kane
7. Christian Eriksen
Christian Eriksen was signed on a free transfer this summer following a successful six-month spell at Brentford last season. Eriksen is expected to start alongside Fred to provide ten Hag’s midfield with some much needed creativity – something which Scott McTominay is unlikely to provide. Donny van de Beek has been given opportunities in pre-season by his former boss – but the former Ajax midfielder has looked out of sorts and will more then likely see his name among the list of substitutes for next weekend’s curtain raiser.
