Aaron Mooy is dismissed

Albion were reduced to 10-men after Arron Mooy was sent-off on 35 minutes, but who shone and who struggled for Graham Potter's men?

A slight wobble early on. But recovered well. Little chance with the winner.
A very good performance defensively and also opened the scoring with his first goal for Albion
Tidy in defence and always able to pick his head up and find a pass. Southgate was in the crowd. Unlucky to concede at the end
Cautioned for pulling John McGinn's shirt and then fouled Jack Grealish. Taken off by Potter on 70 minutes and replaced by Shane Duffy.
Worked hard and comfortable on the ball. Got forward too in first half but forced back after Mooy's dismissal
Worked hard in midfield. Kept possession well and creative with the ball too. One speculative effort from halfway that went well wide
Always available to receive and give an easy pass. His calmness was vital after Mooy's dismissal. Also got into advanced positions despite Albion being down to 10
He will have better days. Both yellows were daft
Quietly efficient in midfield. Never flustered on his return after a two-match absence
Worked hard but missed two decent opportunities. Replaced by Solly March after 45 minutes. Always going to be tough to replicate his performance against Spurs.
Linked well and worked so hard as a lone front runner. A couple of half chances and perhaps deserved a goal due to his work rate. Contributed well.
Tidy when he came on. One cracking effort that whistled just wide. A better pass would have set up Stephens late on.
Came on with 10 to go for Maupay. Very composed as always and looks like a seasoned pro...aged 21.
Came on for the last 20 minutes. Blocked and tackled with his usual tenacity.
No chance with the goal and made a couple of decent saves particularly his one to deny Connolly in the first half
Coped well with Maupay's energy. A composed and classy performer
The left back played well. A threat at set pieces and attacked well. Popped up with the late winning goal
His afternoon was made much easier after Mooy was sent off. His cross teed-up Grealish for their first goal
Did okay after a testing week with England. Dunk and Webster were the best English defenders on the pitch today however.
A powerful presence in the Villa midfield. Holds his position well.
First time I've seen him play live and a very tricky and skilful performer. Bags of energy too.
Ran the show. One of the finest attacking talents in the PL. Southgate was watching.
Unlucky to have a goal ruled out by VAR in the first half. Replaced by Trezeguet on the hour.
Struggled to make an impact today. Replaced by Douglas Luiz on 76 minutes
A physical centre forward. Dunk coped well with him. Replaced by Davis on 76
Provided a good outlet and fresh legs when he came on.
Very direct against a tiring defenders. Played his part well from the bench
Came on for Wesley and provided a different attacking option. No clear cut chances but battled well
