Their tally of 33 strikes is the sixth-lowest in the Premier League, and has occasionally led to frustrating encounters in which Graham Potter’s men have come away with less than they perhaps feel they could or should have.
According to stats-based site Wyscout, the Seagulls have averaged an xG of 1.73 per top flight outing this season, but their actual tally levels out at just one goal every 90 minutes.
Evidently, efficiency hasn’t been Albion strong point in the final third over the past few months, but a deeper dive into the numbers suggest that there is one player who is providing an admirable return.
