'Such a strange team' - Former Chelsea and Celtic striker mystified by Brighton before trip to Arsenal
Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton doesn’t hold much hope that Brighton will get a result at title challengers Arsenal.
Albion travel to the Emirates without a win in their last four matches.
Their last victory was away at Nottingham Forest on November 30 – which was only the Seagulls’ second win away from home this season.
Brighton sit tenth in the league table, with six wins, six draws and five defeats.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have lost just two games all season and would move back to the top of the Premier League with a win on Saturday (December 27).
Former Chelsea and Celtic striker Sutton – whose weekly predictions are posted on the BBC Sport website – said: “People are saying that Arsenal are wobbling but I think they have had their wobble, really, when they scraped past Wolves.
“The Gunners won 1-0 at Everton last time out, and it was a bit of a battle, but they were up against a David Moyes side so I didn't expect anything else.
"It won't be easy for them against Brighton, but I still think they should win this one.”
Sutton doesn’t think Brighton will be a pushover – but the pundit thinks Arsenal will eventually prove too strong on the day, with a 2-0 home win.
"The Seagulls are such a strange team, and they are extremely difficult to predict,” Sutton said.
"They have not won any of their past four games but they pushed Liverpool all the way when I watched them at Anfield recently, and I think they will do the same here.”
