Graham Potter’s men are all but mathematically certain of remaining in the Premier League next season and will be boosted by the riches it brings.
And there is exceptional value to be had in the Championship… here, we take a look at the cream of the crop signings that Brighton could attempt this window.
5. Andre Ayew - Swansea City
The Ghana captain, 30, is enjoying his best scoring form since moving to England after finding the back of net again last Sunday. Ayew scored his 14th goal in the Championship this season to seal Swansea City's 2-1 victory against Sheffield Wednesday. The winger joined the South Wales club for £18m in 2018. Photo: Harry Trump
6. Said Benrahma - Brentford
The attacker, 24, bagged a hat-trick against Wigan last weekend taking his tally to the season to 14 with eight assists, a superb return for a team pushing for automatic promotion to the Premier League. The Scottish Sun reports that Chelsea are willing to splash £33.5m to land the star. Photo: Stu Forster
7. Matty Cash - Nottingham Forest
Cash, 22, has been ever-present for Nottingham Forest this campaign, scoring six times in 36 second-tier appearances as Forest push towards the play-offs. Reports in January suggested West Ham had an £18m bid turned down for the star. Photo: Nathan Stirk
8. Matheus Pereira - West Brom
Baggies manager Slaven Bilic challenged Pereira, 24, to maintain his impressive form following the Brazilian’s sensational display against Hull. The Brazilian midfielder has been sensational for second-place West Brom so far this campaign. West Brom have already made the initial loan move permanent for £9m, but could a Premier League club swoop in the summer if Bilic's side fail in their promotion bid? Photo: Catherine Ivill
