17. Adam Lallana
Age 32. Contract expires June 2023. Signed on a free from Liverpool and Interesting to see how much he has left in the tank. At 32 perhaps his very best is behind him but he remains a formidable player if he stays fit. Technically excellent and the CL and PL winner will bring a wealth of experience and know-how for the younger players to learn from.
18. Alireza Jahanbakhsh
Age 27. Contract expires June 2023. Many expected the Iranian to depart this summer but looks set to remain and fight for a place in Potter's match day squad. Capable of the spectacular, as witnessed against Chelsea, and he will hope for a regular run in the team this season.
19. Jose Izquierdo
Age 28. Contracted until June 2021. Nobody quite knows what to expect from the Colombian. The winger has not played for more than a year due to a knee problem. He will need to reach full fitness but if he can, a fit and firing Izquierdo can offer Potter something entirely different as an attacking option.
20. Solly March
Age: 26. Contract expires June 2022. Hindered by injuries last campaign but a genuine PL talent on his day. The left wing back position could be his main role if Potter goes with three at the back. Big season ahead for the Hailsham lad.
