The 23-year-old joined Rangers from Dundee for a reported £50,000 fee in January but last week was linked with a move to Albion along with team-mate James Tavernier.

Finland international Kamara started his career at Arsenal and had loan spells at Southend and Colchester but never played for the Gunners.

He joined Dundee in the summer of 2017 and played 65 times for the Dens Park club before joining Steven Gerrard's Rangers in January.

Kamara played 16 games and starred at Ibrox in the second half of last season.

He was asked about the rumours linking him with a move at the weekend and was reported by Glasgow newspaper, the Evening Times, as saying: "Rumours are part of football. But nothing concrete has happened, it is just speculation. Yes, it would be a dream to play in the Premier League, but for the moment I am happy to play for Rangers."

Kamara feels his game has improved at Rangers and said: "It has been a long journey for me in my career and now I play for a club like Rangers. It was a tough season and I had to prove myself at Rangers. I have developed a lot mentally. It's a big challenge to play in front of the fans at Rangers. They have high demands, but I like that.

"I've really enjoyed playing for Rangers. And getting praise from a manager like Steven Gerrard feels really good. Sometimes it feels crazy that he's my manager. You look to the dug out and see him. You have to calm down and not think about it too much in your mind! So he's my manager and I learn from him."

Brighton have also been linked with Bristol City attacking midfielder Josh Brownhill, according to Sky Sports.

The 23-year-old scored six goals and provided four assists as City finished eighth in the Championship last season.

Sheffield United and Derby also also reportedly interested in the midfielder.

Albion striker Tomer Hemed has been given a one-year contract extension as part of the deal he signed in November, 2017. The 32-year-old scored seven goals on loan at Queens Park Rangers in the Championship last season.
