Two injury concerns for Graham Potter ahead of West Ham and Man City

Joel Veltman continues to recover from a calf injury while his Dutch international colleague Davy Propper is unlikely to be fit to face West Ham.

Veltman missed the 2-1 loss at Wolves last weekend and Propper, who has struggled with injury and illness this season, has an ankle problem.

"Joel Veltman is still recovering so the game might come too soon for him. Davy Propper had a problem with ankle and that match (West Ham) will come too soon for him as well."

Albion will also be without suspended duo Lewis Dunk and Neal Maupay who both received red cards during last weekend's defeat.

Potter expressed his disappointment at Maupay's conduct after he received his needless dismissal for foul and abusive language after the final whistle at Wolves.

"It's not Neal finest moment and he understands that," said Potter. "It is something for him to learn from and make sure it does not happen. Sometimes emotions run away and you do things you regret.

"But you then have to say we will do our best and try not to let it happen again."

On the plus side Adam Lallana, who last appeared during the 1-0 loss at Sheffield United, is expected to recover from his calf injury.

"Lallana trained fully today," confirmed Potter. "We will see how he is over the next 48 hours but it looks as though he is available."

Long term absentees Tariq Lamptey (hamstring), Solly March (knee) and Florin Andone (knee) remained sidelined.

West Ham arrive on the south coast fifth in the table and are scrapping for the European places.

"They deserve a lot of credit," said Potter. "To be fighting for the Champions League spots at this point is an incredible effort from them, so we have to make sure we’re ready for that.

"We want to try and win the game. We want to play well and be positive, especially with the season that David Moyes and West Ham have had.

"The higher up the better for us, we’ve achieved our base goal which is to make sure we stay in the Premier League.

"We need to improve on what we have done and make sure we’re here again next year, then we want to finish off with as many points as we can.

"The boys are ambitious, so we will try. We have got three teams coming up that are really strong, but that’s the beauty of it, we need to compete against them and do our best."
