Brighton are well known for their shrewd approach to the transfer market.
Few clubs in Premier League history have sold and recruited as well as the Seagulls over the years – all while maintaining a solid league position.
The likes of Marc Cucurella, Alexis Mac Allister, Moises Caicedo and Leo Trossard were signed for fairly modest fees and sold on for huge profits to the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal.
But in the summer of 2024 Brighton shocked their supporters and rivals with an unprecedented spend of almost £200m. It was a shift of their usual model and made it the most expensive window in their history.
So how have the players who joined that summer performed to date, are they still with the club and have the provided value for money for Fabian Hurzeler?
Here's who signed in 2024 and how they have rated...

2. Georginio - 6.5
Brighton smashed their transfer record as they brought in the Frenchman from Leeds United for £40m. The playmaker had a solid start with eight goals and five assists but has struggled this term with just one goal. 3. Yankuba Minteh - 7
Brighton took full advantage of Newcastle's PSR issues to land the flying Gambian for £30m. Blistering pace and a real threat on his day to PL defenders but you always feel as though there is more to come. He has scored just once this term but has four assists. 4. Matt O'Riley 4-10
His career at Brighton never really got going, much to the frustration of all. Albion paid around £25m to Celtic to land the Denmark international midfielder he is currently enjoying a pretty successful season loan Marseille. The club are keen to make the move permanent and which will likely see Brighton recoup the money they spent.
