"Supporters will understand that these are extraordinary times, and measures taken by the government and others will affect the lives of everybody throughout the country.

"The board has discussed the situation and has concluded that the club will be closed with immediate effect until official advice is given that activities can resume.

"With the exception of contractual arrangements, hire of the pitches to other clubs, organisations and individuals will cease.

"Whilst there will inevitably be an adverse effect on our finances, the board is satisfied that Horsham Football Club can weather the storm and make a strong return to competitive football when the time comes.

"The club hopes that all our supporters stay safe during this difficult time and take heed of the advice given by the authorities."
