Crawley Town player ratings as last-minute defeat to Shrewsbury Town piles more pressure on Kazim-Richards

Crawley Town lost 3-2 at home to Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday night (October 20) at the Broadfield Stadium, in a defeat that piles more pressure on head coach Colin Kazim-Richards.

The Reds made two changes to the starting line-up, with Jonny Russell and Osman Kamara coming in for Charlie Barker and Gianmarco Di Biase, with Pemi Aderoju and Dion Pereira on the bench. Both Barker and Di Biase missed out.

An early goal from Ade Adeyemo put the Reds ahead after four minutes and had chances to extend the lead.

However, Josh Davison equalised on 62 minutes, and George Lloyd followed up a shot from Kian McMahon-Brown’s to make it 2-1.

Dylan Morgan thought he had secured a point for the Reds on 85 minutes, but Davison scored his second of the night just before the final whistle to send the three points back to Shropshire.

Here are our player ratings:

Vito Mannone – 5 – Wasn’t really troubled that much in the first half but should have done better with all of the Shrewsbury’s goals. Excellent save late on to keep Crawley level.

Priestley Farquharson – 6 – Looked ok in the first half, but was at fault for the Shrewsbury equaliser, along with Jonny Russell. Replaced by Pele Arganese-McDermott on 79 minutes.

Stephen Duke-McKenna – 7 – Was good going forward, making some great passes, including one for Adeyemo’s goal.

Lewis Richards – 6 – Was good going forward, made some good passes, wasn’t really troubled in the first half, but more under pressure in the second half. Replaced by Kellan Gordon on 71 minutes.

Jonny Russell – 6 – Was booked in the first half and was at fault with Farquharson for the first Shrewsbury goal.

Osman Kamara – 6 – Made some great runs forward, and perhaps should have scored a couple of times, but fired over the bar. Replaced by Dion Pereira on 85 minutes.

Jude Arthurs – 8 – Our man of the match – was everywhere on the pitch, in defence and up front.

Ade Adeyemo – 7 - Scored early for the Reds, made some good runs but gave the ball away a few times. Was another player who was all over the pitch.

Dylan Morgan – 7 – Not much he could do on his own up front, made some decent tackles in the midfield, scored a superb goal to equalise at 2-2.

Nathan Tinsdale – 6 – Slotted nicely into the midfield alongside Jude Arthurs, making some good runs and passes. Replaced by Pemi Aderoju on 71 minutes.

Kai Jennings – 6 – Made some good runs going forward and had a few shots but didn’t trouble the keeper. Replaced by Louie Watson on 79 minutes.
