Ispwich Town boss Mick McCarthy agrees for Josh Yorwerth to stay at Crawley

Crawley Town have extended Josh Yorwerth’s loan from Ipswich Town until December 29.

The Championship club defender has played in six matches and helped Reds to four wins since arriving initially for a month from Ipswich.

Reds manager Mark Yates said: “We are delighted Ipswich have allowed us to extend it.

“And I know that their manager (Mick McCarthy) is delighted with how the arrangement is working. He has performed really well since he came.”

Reds boss Mark Yates is currently in talks with Birmingham City boss Gary Rowett about extending Mitch Hancox’s loan.

He is due to go back to his contracted club following this Saturday’s home game against York City.

Yates said: “I’ve talked to the club, to Gary, and hopefully we’ll be able to sort something out next week.

“Mitch has done great, really well since he came here and we’d like him to stay.”
