The former Newcastle, Liverpool and England striker headed in the winner to break Brouogh’s resolve on a night when they looked for a long time like they might grab a second win of the week after the weekend’s success at Enfield.
Pemi Aderoju had fired Tommy Widdrington’s side into the lead but Trent Rendall levelled for the Daggers on the hour.
Despite the result, there was much for Borough fans to take heart from as they gear up to welcome second-placed Weston-super-Mare to town on Saturday.
