The surviving member from the 2012-13 FA Cup run has been an integral member of the United team and made 35 appearances, scoring eight goals, before the 2019-20 season came to an abrupt end.

Earlier this week the club revealed Ollie Black was staying for the new season - and that followed on from similar news about Gary Elphick, Sam Adams and Ben Pope.

Dixon told the club website: “This club and town have a big place in my heart so signing for another season was an easy decision for me to make.

"I feel like I have been involved in a project that’s been in the making for several years now and I want to continue to play my part in taking the club forward.

"On the playing front, with the team mates that I have and the members of staff on board I have never enjoyed my football as much as I do now. In my opinion as a player, that is the most important thing.”

Manager Chris Agutter said: “To have the opportunity to continue working with Dicko for another season is great news for me personally, the staff and the club as a whole. I am sure the supporters will be just as delighted to have their local hero representing the town’s team once again.”

Club CEO Billy Wood added: “Jack is another key component to the culture of Hastings United and what this club means locally. Jack is a local lad who has experienced the highest of highs at this club and also the lows, it’s that experience and passion for the club that make him so important, not just on the pitch but off it as an ambassador for Hastings United.

"Dicko is without a doubt someone who resonates with the local community and supports any campaigns that we have and his passion for not only this club but the town always shine through. We are delighted you have signed and will be here for at least another season.”
