“They are going well in their league, so it’s going to be a very difficult game.

“I’m hoping to watch them this week, if I can, to find out a bit more about them.”

Littlehampton travel to Abingdon, who are third from bottom with 12 points from 17 matches and are winless in nine home league games.

Golds boss Mark Bennett said: “As long as we go there and do our best, that’s all we can do.

“It’s a special competition for Littlehampton because of our history in it, so it’s up to the players to get up for it.”

Golds will be without the cup-tied trio of Josh Clack, Mark Zydonik and Will Conway for the game.

The winners receive £1,200 prize-money. Any replays will take place next week.
