EAST Preston Football Club have been drawn at home to Eastern Counties League Premier Division side Brantham Athletic in the fourth round of the FA Vase.

Sussex County League leaders EP progressed into the last 32 with a late Charlie Farmer goal in their 2-1 win at home to Rye United on Saturday and manager Dominic Di Paola is pleased to be drawn at home.

He said: “You’re never going to get anyone easy at this stage, so I’m happy to be drawn at home.

“It’s a new experience for me and we’ll just go out and do as well as we can. It’s going to be interesting and it’s exciting times for the club.

“I’ll try to get along to watch them at some stage to see what they are like but we know it will be a hard game.

“It will be very much about who is more up for it on the day but we’ve got to try to forget about it for now incase if affects everything else and we don’t want that to happen.

“The competition is a nice bonus but the important thing is to keep our league run going.”

Brantham sit eighth in their division, with eight wins, four draws and six defeats this season.

They reached the fourth round with a 3-2 victory away to Haringey Borough on Saturday.

The only other Sussex-based side left in the competition, Eastbourne United, have been drawn away to Hanworth Villa.
