FA Vase dreams are over for Chichester City and Pagham

Chichester City and Pagham are out of the FA Vase after extra-time defeats in the second round.

Adie Girdler’s Chichester lost 4-1 to Tunbridge Wells after taking the Kent to an extra half-hour, while Pagham lost 4-2 to Peacehaven & Telscombe after leading 2-1 late on in a game delayed by floodlight problems.

It was also a bad day for the Observer’s other local Sussex League sides.

Selsey lost 2-0 at home to Redhill in division one while Midhurst & Easebourne crashed 5-2 at home to Wick in division two.

Bosham lost 2-1 at TD Shipley in division three.
