FA Vase in pictures - Pagham go out... and they're not alone among Sussex clubs

It’s still been a great season in the cups for Lemmy Ewen’s Lions – having got through numerous rounds of both the Vase and the FA Cup.

And they were one of six Sussex clubs to go out of the Vase on Saturday – leaving just two teams from the county still dreaming of the Wembley Arch in the competition.

Crawley Down Gatwick are in Monday’s third round draw after winning 3-2 at Lingfield – and Hassocks registered an impressive 5-2 win at home to Eastbourne United in the day’s other all-SCFL Premier clash.

But joining Pagham and EUFC in going out were Lancing and East Grinstead, who lost penalty shootouts against Cove and Larkfield & New Hythe respectively, AFC Varndeanians, who lost 1-0 at Fisher, and Haywards Heath Town, who went down 4-2 at Rusthall.

We’ll have news of the third round draw on this website on Monday afternoon.
