Farrell’s the new boss at Clymping

Farrell has been with the club for the last three years, as youth team manager for two years and then reserve team boss last season, and he takes over from Mike Williamson, who stepped down at the end of last season.
Williamson had been in charge of Clymping for two years and they finished fifth and eighth in County League Division 3 during his spell in charge.

Hide AdFarrell, who has previously coached youth sides at Rustington Otters, is looking forward to the challenge of managing the first team after Clymping Reserves finished ninth in the County League West Division last season.
He said: “I’m just really pleased to have been giving the opportunity to try to progress the club, push forward and work upon the foundations that have been made and left by Mike over the last two seasons.
“It’s a huge challenge for myself and Tom Henton (assistant manager) as we’ve never managed at this level.
“But we had a decent season last year in charge of the reserve team and, with the support of all at Clymping FC and a lot of hard work, I’m sure we can continue to progress all teams at the club.”
Ian Sharpe will take over as player-manager of Clymping’s reserve team for the upcoming season.
