_____
As mentioned, Faversham Town will start their league campaign on Saturday. They have played two competitive games, both in the FA Cup. In their preliminary round they defeated Eastbourne Town 6-5 on penalties after a 1-1 draw. Their first qualifying round took place on Monday where they suffered a heavy 5-0 loss away to Carshalton Athletic of the Isthmian Premier League.
Last season Faversham ended in 17th place on 28 points. Their home form consisted of 6 wins, 6 draws and 4 defeats, whilst their away form was nothing to write home about, being 1 win, 1 draw and 12 defeats.
Previous meetings
The teams met once last season in what was also the second game (for United). Ben Pope scored a goal in each half to give United a comfortable 2-0 win at the Pilot Field.

Hide AdThe Us have played three hard opening games albeit all at home. Coming out the other end of those games with three clean sheets is a statistic the team can be immensely proud of. And it’s one they’ll be determined to extend.
Equally the ‘Lilywhites’ (their nickname comes from their white kit) will no doubt be looking to get themselves on the board and kick-start their own season.
Match information
Saturday 26th September, 3pm kick off at The Aquatherm Stadium (Salters Lane, Faversham, Kent ME13 8ND).
