Hassocks Juniors receive financial boost

The newly named club, based in Adastra Park in the village, handed over a cheque for £250 to the chairman of the Robins’ Junior Section and BBC Commentator Jonathan Pearce.
Each year the club holds a Tipster Competition whereby members are asked to predict the result of the outcome of Premier League games for a £2 entry fee with half of the takings over the course of the season being handed over to local sports clubs.

“That was 10 years ago and although they have grown up it still continues, with us handing over decent sums of money to Hassocks Junior and Senior sections as well as Hassocks Fatboys Sunday League side and other local charities such as St Peter & St James Hospice.”
“It’s a fun thing for our members to take part in, gives people an interest in coming to the Club and watching Hull v Stoke and most important of all raises a lot of money for a lot of good causes.”
