Football will hopefully return to The Thank You NHS stadium in the middle of September and the club is currently working very hard to ensure that everyone that visits the stadium either as a player or spectator will be safe and the club can help people return to some form of normality.”

As part of the journey the club is having to make alterations to the ground such as an outside marquee bar, reducing the capacity of the iconic Roy Hatt stand and enlarging the technical area so that substitutes and mangers are safe.

Russ addeed: “In order to help with the redevelopment of the dug outs the club has recently launched a crowd funding appeal www.crowdfunder.co.uk/new-dugouts.

“It is hoped that with the support of the local community enough can be raised to have the new structures in place for the start of the new season in September.”

The club’s crowdfunder page says: “Once we have reached 100% of our target two people/company names will be picked at random and the names will be clearly visible on the home and away dugouts.”

The club is also asking for support for a 24 hour sponsored walk around the stadium in support of Men’s Mental Health.

This will take place on August 8 starting at 10am.
