Housebuilder continues sponsorship of Steyning footballers

Cala Homes has renewed its support for Steyning Town FC with a £1,200 sponsorship, marking the second year of partnership between the housebuilder and one of West Sussex’s largest community football clubs.

Following Cala’s kit sponsorship for the 24-25 season, the additional funding will help the club to build on the rapid growth of its women’s and girls’ teams, an area which has expanded significantly in recent years.

The latest contribution will go towards new kit and equipment, training additional coaches, strengthening first aid and physio support, as well as enhancing the club environment to make it even more inclusive for female players.

Natasha Nunn, Head of Women’s & Girls’ Football at Steyning FC, said: “We are delighted to have this partnership with Cala Homes. It has been essential to support the growth of women’s and girls' football at the club.

“Over recent years we have seen the section grow from just a handful of players to over 100 female players participating every week. Cala’s support has enabled the club to fund and nurture this growth, where we can continue to offer regular football to as many female footballers as possible.

“On top of this, as a company that actively champions women in construction, they have a number of great role models within their business for our young players as they look at potential careers in the future. We are so grateful to the whole team at Cala for their ongoing support of the club.”

This continued sponsorship forms a part of Cala’s Community Pledge; an initiative dedicated to supporting the local area surrounding its developments. Each pledge includes tailored commitments such as bursaries, local partnerships, volunteering, school programmes and more to help deliver meaningful, long-lasting benefits for the community.

Liz Stone, Sales and Marketing Director at Cala Homes, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be supporting Steyning FC once again. The club is a brilliant example of community spirit, and the growth of their women’s and girls’ teams is truly inspiring.

“We’re delighted that our contribution will help the club continue expanding opportunities, improving facilities and empowering even more young female players to get involved.”

Cala has two local developments, including New Monks Park in Lancing, which offers an exclusive collection of one and two-bedroom apartments alongside two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, and Langmead Place in Angmering, featuring a range of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses.

Both developments are set within beautifully landscaped surroundings and are conveniently located close to excellent schools, shops, cafés, transport links and the stunning West Sussex coastline. For more visit: Cala Homes Community Pledge.
