Hurst lift Intermediate Cup for time in their history

Hurstpierpoint lifted the Sussex Intermediate Cup for the first time in their 128-year history at Lancing on Tuesday and they did it in style with a convincing victory over the reigning West Sussex League champions who are struggling a little in mid-table this time around.

Overall the scoreline was somewhat harsh on Cowfold as they enjoyed some good spells in a final that ebbed and flowed but few would argue with winning manager Bill Clifford in his post match verdict that his side’s quality showed through in the end.
