In pictures: Newhaven edge SCFL win over Horsham YM

Horsham have just appointed new dual managers in Will Hendon and Alex Walsh but it was the Dockers on the front foot and on 23 minutes Ezra Roeg went on a run, cutting in from the left across the box and placed a shot past the Horsham keeper for a 1-0 lead.

Horrsham did have a few forays forward, keeping the Newhaven keeper on his toes.

In the second half it was Horsham who started the brighter, pushing forward with Newhaven defending deep.

But try as they hard as they could, there was no way through.

Newhaven started to get on top pushing Horsham into defending any way they could and it ended 1-0.

Both teams went on to suffer defeats on Monday – Newhaven were beaten 5-1 at home to Haywards Heath Town and YM lost 4-1 away to Roffey.

The Dockers are eighth in the league, YM 16th.
