The Golds could and probably should have taken the lead earlier in the game through two dangerous free kicks from Mitchell Hand.

Littlehampton will travel to Ryman League South Division Sittingbourne in the next round on September 14.

Littlehampton manager Mark Bennett said: “I thought we controlled the game in the first half and could have gone in at least two goals up.

“In the second half we never really got going, but I could never see us losing.”
