Kane set for United return

Nigel Kane, who managed United to promotion via the Ryman Football League Division One South play-offs in 2007, is expected to become part of Terry White’s managerial set-up.
White patrolled the technical area alongside under-21s boss Ben White during last night’s (Monday’s) 1-0 defeat at home to Burgess Hill Town in the Parafix Sussex Senior Challenge Cup.

Known for his attention to detail and vast knowledge of opposing teams, Kane was a United player before initially becoming joint manager alongside Pat Brown in December 2005. The Geordie assumed sole charge a few months later and left the club by mutual consent in December 2007.
