Relations between José Mourinho and Chelsea’s medical staff soured further yesterday after it emerged that the club’s manager has decreed that Eva Carneiro, the team doctor, will not be allowed to attend training sessions, enter the team hotel or take her place on the bench for games. (The Times)

Pedro has informed Barcelona he wants to leave this summer as he bids to force through a move to Manchester United. The Catalan side’s sporting director Robert Fernandez was speaking ahead of the UEFA Super Cup final when he revealed Pedro’s request. ‘Pedro has told me that he wants to leave,’ he said on Spanish television. ‘Right now there is nothing [no offers].’ (Daily Mail)
