The Sports suffered late heartbreak when Liam Dulson grabbed an 89th minute winner at Priory Lane for Maidenhead United – after Freddie Carter was controversially sent off.
It leaves Steve King still looking for his first win as Borough manager and they are now six poiints below the safety line with only seven games left.
Their next chance of valuable points comes on Saturday away to Chippenham – one of the sides they need to overtake if they’re to stay up.
