Brighton & Hove Albion forward Glenn Murray praised strike-partner Florin Andone after his winner against Huddersfield on Saturday.

Andone replaced top-scorer Murray just before the hour and headed the only goal after 79 minutes from Anthony Knockaert's inch-perfect cross.

It was the Romanian international's fifth goal for Brighton and Murray said: "It was a brilliant header. He made the run into the so called corridor of opportunity and was in the right place at the right time.

"I think you've got to give praise to Anthony as well because it was a fantastic ball, perfectly weighted, and Florin arrived and put the game to bed."

The victory took Brighton five points clear of third-from-bottom Cardiff and Murray said: "We're not home and hosed yet.

"There's still a lot to play for and it could turn into as really good season for us with the FA Cup involved as well. That's what we'll be aiming to do."

On the match itself, Murray said: "It was a little nervy to begin with.

"We knew what it would mean if we lost and if they won it would bring them back into touching distance a little bit and keep their dreams of staying up alive, not that it's dead but it would have brought them into touching distance.

"You could possibly feel that in the first 45 but in the second half both teams I wouldn't say relaxed but got used to the game and it opened up. Thankfully we took control and got the goal."
