New girls' team adds to Eastbourne Town's female football set-up
These are exciting times for female football at Eastbourne Town.
The club’s women’s section has continued to build strong momentum this season, with both the senior side and the U18 girls showing real progress on and off the pitch.

Competing in the Sussex County Women’s and Girls Football League Premier Division, the women’s team have tested themselves week in, week out against strong opposition, with performances reflecting the hard work being put in behind the scenes.
Meanwhile, the U18s have been competing in the Championship division of the same Sussex County Women’s and Girls Football League, showing resilience and development as they continue to grow as a squad.
Across the club, the focus remains on building strong foundations for next season.
Richard Dyson (director of women’s football) and Steve Hadfield (women’s first team manager) have announced they are looking to introduce an under-16 girls’ JPL squad, creating another fantastic pathway for young players to develop and compete at a high level.
The expansion of other girls’ youth teams is also planned
With a clear pathway developing from youth football into the senior side, the future continues to look bright as the club strengthens its structure and long-term vision.
‘Expression of interest’ forms will be released for their women’s first team, U18s and the new U16 JPL squad, giving players the opportunity to be part of an ambitious and growing set-up.
This will link in with a growing partnership with East Sussex College Eastbourne Women’s and Girls Football & Education Programme.
