Northern Ireland Under-21 international becomes Crawley Town's fourth signing of January Transfer window
Crawley Town Football Club have made their fourth signing of the January Transfer window.
Reds have signed highly-rated full-back, Jonny Russell, from Glentoran FC of The NIFL Premiership for an undisclosed fee.
The Northern Ireland Under-21 international moves to England, having spent more than a decade with Glentoran in his home nation.
Having joined the club at just 10 years of age, Russell rose through the ranks of the Glentoran Academy before putting pen to paper on his first professional contract in November 2023. He went on to accumulate 80 senior appearances, making his first-team debut in the BetMcLean Cup during the 2022/23 season.

In the current campaign, the 21-year-old featured 14 times and found the net on two occasions.
Russell has also impressed on the international stage, becoming an important figure for Northern Ireland Under-21s during their UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign.
The club said: “The Reds were able to fend off strong competition from other home nations, and we look forward to watching Jonny flourish during his time with the Red Devils.”
Russell follows Theo Vassell, Taylor Richards and Tobi Adeyemo through the door since the transfer window opened on New Year’s Day.
