One-time Crawley loanee joins Cambridge on-loan from Brighton

Luckless one-time Crawley Town defender Tom Dallison has joined Cambridge United on a loan deal until January.

The 20-year-old Brighton & Hove Albion under-21 defender has a signed a deal with the League Two side until early 2017.

He joined Reds on a month-long loan last season and made quite an impression on his Football League debut against Plymouth Argyle.

Unfortunately, in a turn of dreadful luck, the centre-back fractured his toe in the 1-1 draw and returned to parent club Brighton & Hove Albion for treatment after just one 90-minute appearance.

He played for Albion in the 4-0 pre-season victory over Crawley on Saturday, and is now eligible to feature for Shaun Derry’s side in their match at Newmarket Town on Tuesday.
