The Fullicks Stadium pitch was playable yesterday and Folkestone played on it at the weekend, but this morning’s rain means that it will need to be checked at lunchtime.

United will be hoping that the match goes ahead because they still have 20 Ryman Football League Division One South fixtures to get through before the season’s end on the final Saturday of April.

Folkestone’s 3-1 win over Worthing on Saturday took them above United into the top four, although the U’s do have three games in hand. The Kent club has enjoyed an impressive surge up the table having been towards the lower end in the early part of the campaign.

Elsewhere tonight, Rye United are due to host Ringmer in Sussex County Football League Division One. Rye have had 11 of their last 14 scheduled fixtures postponed, though, and there must be a very real threat of that becoming 12 of their last 15 with yet more rain currently falling.
