Pope and Rogers lead the honours as Hastings United award winners are named

Hastings United's end-of-season player awards have been nicely shared around.

Ben Pope and Louis Rogers each won two awards but all the other gongs went to different winners in the online awards night.

Pope was named players' player and supporters' player of the year while Rogers won the John Collins magic moment award for his penalty save v Haywards Heath and was named directors' player of the season.

Gary Elphick was the manager's player of the year and Craig Stone won the award for goal of the season for his effort away to Worthing.

Defender Ollie Black was the manager's young player of the season and Dane Martin was named directors' management member.

Davide Rodari won a record-breaker award for his feat of scoring eight goals in a game - in the Velocity Trophy against East Grinstead and David Russell was named clubman of the year.

Volunteer of the year was Gary Histed and U23 manager's player was Tom Chalmers. U23 players' player was Cameron Clark.

The awards came against a backdrop of manager Chris Agutter already having secured half a dozen signatures for next season's squad - Ben Pope, Gary Elphick, Sam Adams, Ollie Black, Jack Dixon and new signing from Dartford, Max Walsh.
