Rampant Common score 14

Little Common crushed Saltdean United 14-0 at the Recreation Ground on Saturday.

Lewis Hole plundered a double hat-trick, Jamie Crone bagged four, Chris Cumming-Bart scored three and Jordan Wood one in what must surely be one of the club’s biggest ever victories.

Cumming-Bart set the ball rolling with a 13th minute penalty, Crone added the second and third, and Hole headed the fourth inside half-an-hour from a great Cumming-Bart cross.

Common scored three more in the closing five minutes of the half to make it 7-0 at the break. Crone completed his hat-trick with number five, while Hole also moved to three with the sixth and seventh.

The hosts were in double figures less than a dozen minutes into the second half. A Cumming-Bart free kick from the left made it eight, Wood volleyed the ninth and Hole tapped home the 10th.

Common had to wait another 25 minutes to add to their tally before netting twice in as many minutes. Another Cumming-Bart penalty made it 11 and Hole tapped in the 12th.

Two more goals in stoppage time completed the rout. Cumming-Bart unselfishly squared for Crone at the end of a tremendous run and Hole strolled through to score with the final kick.
